The Jazz Bistro

Presenting Live Music 6 nights a week

Jazz Bistro, the home for live jazz in the city, sets a new standard for jazz presentation in the latest incarnation of 251 Victoria Street.

In 1989 Bob Sniderman created the Senator steakhouse beside the legendary Senator diner, adding the jazz club Top O’ the Senator a year later. For 16 years the steakhouse offered pre and post theatre dining and the Top O’ The Senator became one of the most respected and well known venues for live jazz in North America.

In 2011 the building at 251 Victoria Street was given a new purpose and lease on life as the Jazz Bistro, the vision of Colin and Joan Hunter. Lovers of music and fine dining, they realized a need in the city and set out to create a comfortable, creative space to enjoy memorable nights of live performance and great food.

251 Victoria has once again become a crossroads for musicians and music lovers alike. Diners will enjoy a great meal, raise a glass of wine in celebration and music will once more flow from a stage graced by some of the world’s greatest jazz musicians from home and abroad.
